Why purchase local meat?

With recent meat recalls, it is best for you to know where you are purchasing your meat from. By buying locally you are supporting the local community and ensuring that your meat is the freshest around.  Locally produced meat is better for you and better for the planet. When you buy locally you are supporting your local economy, conserving energy and helping to contribute to a cleaner environment.

What makes local meat different?

Unlike many local farmers selling meat, we offer our product fresh as well as frozen, and we cut and grind meat every day of the week.  In addition our beef is never given artificial hormones and is finished to a choice grade. This ensures the highest quality and the best flavor.

What types of meat do you sell?
We sell all types of beef, pork and lamb cuts.  We also offer other items such as our locally smoked bacon and ham as well as our special recipe sausage patties for breakfast or dinner. Please see our Product Offerings for a full list of items we sell.
Can I specify the cuts of meat I order?
Yes.  Let us know if you have special preferences and we can accommodate most requests.  If you want to order by IMPS number, we can do that.  If you are unfamiliar with the IMPS or simply want something cut a special way, we can do that also.  We are large enough that we reap some efficiencies of scale, but we are still small enough that you can call us to discuss your order with someone who will be directly involved in cutting it.  Please see our Product Offerings for a full list of items we sell.


What do you sell at your store?

We often sell our quality meat to high end restaurants and stores.  However our retail store serves the same high quality meat to the public so you can bring it home to your family.  Our store offers various cuts of beef and pork, burgers, smoked bacon and ham, sausage, farm fresh eggs and local milk from Hatchland Dairy.  Click here for store hours.

How is meat delivered to my restaurant?

We wholesale to restaurants and stores with specific delivery routes on certain days.  We send our small refrigerated truck with specialty cut product destined for New York and Boston. We can arrange to deliver to you on those specific days or if you have other needs please contact us to discuss.


What can I tell my customers about the meat on our menu?
Be sure to let your customers know that the PT FARM meat being served is locally raised and processed.  PT FARM meat tastes better, is fresher because it spends less time in transit, and is supporting the local community.  If any customers have questions we encourage them to contact us to discuss!
